The Dark Man is a relic found in The Darkness II. It is a bust that depicts the first known Darkness host.
Background[]
According to Johnny Powell, there were probably other Darkness hosts before the Dark Man, but the Dark Man was the first host to have been recorded. Citing "The Hidden Testament of Moses", Powell states that the Dark Man was around during the time of Moses and launched the 40 Year War on him. Before the end of the war, the Dark Man killed Moses and ate his heart, which is why he never made it to the Promised Land.
In addition to launching the 40 Year War on Moses, the Dark Man appeared before some cultists worshipping the Graven Image. He claimed to speak through the statue and eventually demanded human sacrifices.

The relic is found in the junkyard before Swifty's crane boss battle.
