Early History

At some point Cherub Hostile dedicated themselves making Earth into Eden, as it was meant to be, by returning every human soul to Purgatory. They needed a human vessel who would bring them to our world, and who would stand by while they searched for a weapon. Eventually a Spanish Conquistador who was looking for the Fountain of Youth. The cherubim made a deal with him, they would make Conquistador immortal while he would bring them to the human world. The man agreed and he was granted immortality.

The Search for the Weapon

In a remote souvenir shop, in the middle of the night, Cherub Hostile, led by Conquistador attack and kill its owner Jebediah "Jed" Honkstein. One of the cherubim proclaims that the "sacred" site has been secured and they proceed to dig it. Conquistador urges the cherubim to purge the Earth from humanity while regretting his decision to give his soul for the immortality.

Powers & Abilities

Powers

  • Immortality: As celestial beings intended to serve Heaven for all eternity, the cherubim were immortal beings; unbeholden to age or the passing of time. Ironically, it was this confidence in their own eternality that contributed to their hubris. Despite this, the cherubim were not invincible.
  • Inhuman Strength: Despite their small stature, each cherub was preternaturally strong; able to toss men through the air or tear any man apart in small numbers. As a horde, they could decimate entire armies through sheer numbers and fighting prowess coupled with their unnatural vigor and brutality.
  • Winged Flying: Like all angels, each cherub was endowed with a pair of feathered wings unfurling from their upper backs to enable them to fly at high speeds. These wings also aided with maneuvering and could carry them through the air seamlessly through sheer force of their superhuman strength.
